How many jackets should I steal before jumping to Warehouse arson arson?

The thread that Hcom3 linked above is pretty much the best guide to nerve and crimes around right now. Definitely give it a read. 

It's not about the numbers of crimes done so much as it is above what your nerve bar is. The guide explains it in more detail, but the short version is that every crime you do increases your Crime Experience (CE) and when your CE gets high enough, another 5 is added to your maximum natural nerve bar (NNB). You can use your natural max nerve (max without merits, job specials or faction bonuses) to gauge how strong your CE is.

Your CE is what determines which crimes you do, and warehouse arson is recommended at 30 natural nerve. 

I have read that one but I was informed that stealing jackets and arson are two main crimes that don't send you to jail meaning that you don't lose crime experience so I'm trying to avoid losing any crime experience at all and just go up

But 30 nnb will take a long time just stealing jackets LOL

yeah lots of jackets, may not be fastest way to get CE but it's the fastest way to crime merits.

If NNB hike is what you're primarily aiming for, get to 7.2 once you notice you're getting greens there. It counts as theft as well and has much better CE gains, although a slower path to merits of course.

7.2 = Armed Robbery>Thorough Robbery only

Once you hit 30NNB, get a windproof lighter and see if you're getting greens in Arson Warehouse. If you're spam them for, well, lotssss of time

for arson crime your going to need a gas can , and get wind proof lighter , and i think you also need drivers license , which you get by taking the first 2 general education courses
