You can cancel it as dgumf posted above, but some advice. Instead of just applying out of the blue, chat the leader and/or co-leader before sending your application. You'll get an accepted or declined a lot quicker if you chat them first and figure out if you're a good fit for the faction or not in advance.
I agree with Kayla. Both for factions and jobs, it's always better to talk to them before you apply.
