So a random guy sent me crazy money one night 58m he was on newbie chat and sending money to people a lot of money...i thought he was rich and helping 'lucky' newbies that night but...next day torn took all those money from me and now i am -54m i cant even play a 10sent slot machine at the casino any chance i can go back to my normal 'wallet' i had before that guy sent me that money? if any staff member see this and can help i would be very glad cause i jsut started playing torn and i kind like it.thank you very much.

If you got an event saying illicit funds were withdrawn, then it means the cash that player sent you was ill gained. Likely fraudulent donator packs or multiple accounts. There's nothing staff can do, you never should have had that …

File a report on yourself, stating that you lost the money gambling as long as you truly did. This topic seems to be coming up a lot lately.
I don't see where gambling was mentioned, though? Some guy sent newbies money before getting fedded, the money was taken back and OP now has negative networth.
The op can't even play a 10 cent slot machine.Based on dunmugmeh's posts, but a lot of new players wind up gambling and losing it all, so it is a guess.
Well, I don't know OP and he didn't say what he did with the money, so gambling sounds plausible. But his stats show he had the same networth, 49,019,671, for 3 days (I guess "next day torn took all those money from me" was an exaggeration), so that means he still had most of the money yesterday.
Torn needs to warn new players about this, giveaways and help for them is common and they won't know whats going on.
A new player will spend any money gifted to them immidiately on supplies or weapons or even banked long term. They need to be made aware of the risks.
Its annoying for established players, a potential game killer for noobs.

if the guy gave you 58 million dollars that was obtained from a fraudulent trans action . The Torn Staff will take back that 58 million dollars and it goes back to who's every account it was taken from ,So with that being said unless you spent any of that 58 million dollars before it was taken back , then your net worth shouldnt change. So no need to restart , if you spent some , and have a negative net worth then just sell what ever you bought until back to a positive networth

yes moments after the guy sent me 58m another dude he was on chat same night mugging people mugged me for 3m as soon after hospital i spent everything 54m or 52m to gear up expesnsive armor and weapons+mansion+points+cars etc i close the game siting on 2m if i remember correct next evening loging in after work and i can see the msg and -58m with red colour....also i cant sell anything cause i got no money to use..my networth is cause i found a job from a guy in forum in a bar owned from a dude he recruit me even i didnt had the stats foe the job....i was lucky with that job heh.anyway im not gonna use this acc anymore i cant even sent the items to any new account..ill guess im starting from start and be more careful thanks for responding anyway
As others have already said, if you want this looked into by staff, file a player report on yourself from your own profile or create a thread in Bugs & Issues.
The money given to you was illegally obtained, and was removed from anyone he sent money to. There's been some credit card fraud going around lately and the system is removing any wrongly generated money. It's not a perfect solution, but the money has to be removed from the game's economy somehow. Unfortunately the system doesn't take into account the fact that you might have already spent the money given to you, so it would remove money you no longer have. Perhaps in this case staff can do something for you.
Strongly agreed that they need to be made aware of this if nothing else. I understand having to remove the money, but since the system doesn't take into account the fact the money may have been spent or gambling away and thus no longer present when the system just sucks money from the account, this tends to screw people over more than it should. I'm not sure what a better system would be though, Ched has already said a few times that he doesn't like how it works either.
