calculations on a model commonly accepted by many...
Though likely very inaccurate.... so inaccurate it takes
a mass larger than our sun to balance it.
Thankfully i isolated the mistake before my physicist friends
got back to me.... few...lol.... Only semi embarrassing

It is something i have heard discussed as theory, but i believe the proof
and ramifications are actually blatant, to the point of locating said object...
Here is the panicked question i have sent to a bunch of physicists...
"Urm.. i'm kinda looking for a few knowledgeable people to answer an awkward question....
So we have this flat disk in this thing known as the milky way, From what i know of the heliocentric model ....... we corkscrew through the galaxy with a 13,000 year up and 13,000 years down.... Big corkscrew.... It kinda slapped me in the face.... but wouldn't this movement in itself be proof that there is a huge mass "counter-balancing" us?
What force produces a spiraling trajectory on such a scale? Sure the planets would make the sun wobble a bit, but no where near the 26,000 year spiral they seem to say we do...."
I am hoping to be swiftly put in my place with superior logic, Though i fear it may not happen.....

The planets wobble the sun, they don't have the mass to "drag" it in such a big spiral,
I believe there is something that is big enough to "drag" the sun and planets round.

Happy to say i think your right. The "helical model" though regarded as true by many
seems to be massively flawed and confused. Not only are the scales and numbers off.
It seems purposefully orchestrated, Not an honest mistake
So, this is a short summation of a really long explanation.
Conservation of momentum means that regardless of the direction of travel of the entire solar system, we're all locked into (more or less) the same plane of orbit around the sun. You could orient that plane however you like, flat onto the direction of travel, tagential to it, or any orientation thereof, and because we're already traveling at speed, we can determine there's not an outside force acting on us.
Mind you, 5 billion years ago when the accretion disk that our solar system formed from was still congealing, it was a different matter, but over time we're now moving at a (relative) constant speed all as a group.
Urm... not really seeing the connection with what i said....
Though that is moot now anyways.... As the whole premise
is based on someone elses perpetuated mistake :p
