Hey all, this post is in response to an "operational mis-calculation" for lack of a better term. Recently i was attacked randomly by a lvl 25 player who is ten levels above me. As all of you already are aware the level grind in this game is quite extensive, which i actually appreciate and personally don't believe needs any tweaking it adds a certain character to the game. But to the point of this post that ten level gap is quite significant. I have reached a plateau point in the game so out of basically boredom i reacted to the attack by placing a bounty. Now that player has hospitalized me non stop for days making the game even less enjoyable at my current progression. To a point where i was going to spend the money on it but now i would choose not to out of more principal than anything. With that said it got me thinking and this is where the suggestion comes in... Why with such a long experience gap does the game not have a matchmaking factor that only allows you to attack people a certain number of levels below you? Why not allow a character to only attack someone a max 5 levels below and ten levels above? With that idea you bring in the ability to de-level at a cost of level gains, and a % of gym stats. But allow obviously to keep equipment the same. OR the other idea that would help in this scenario is why not instigate a "Restraining Order" where by you go to the city PD and pay the city an amount based on the length of time you want to hold it for against a specific person. With that you make not that it is impossible to attack someone who has a restraining order only that you would face a penalty of serious jail time, (if caught) and make the success rate based upon the level gap between the attacker and the victim.
These are just some ideas to correct this issue, ultimately the game construct currently allows for this type of thing, its just annoying that its a game i did enjoy playing, but would consider just quitting and moving on to something else.
