The motorcycle helmet does not protect you from being mugged. It does protect you from some items like Pepper Spray.
Or just don't carry large sums? "I'm a victim of... because... so please take it away". I suggest we all just make daisy chains and be friends instead of mugging people

That means he had a friend mug him for mug cooldown protection or someone else mugged him within last 3 hours. You will always get $0 if within the last 3 hours, and it takes 12 hours to get the full amount.

Sweetshop specials do not prevent muggings... so he could have been mugged prior to you finding him and attempting the mug.
It's common for traders to have people mug them before a trade or buy is made. Some people even ask for someone to mug them for a portion of the profits so they don't get nailed even harder by people who actively seek mug targets.
Are you want to test him with your mugging skills? He is actually hold $3 billions on hand. I spy him everyday using my job points. But i got zero.
Thats not how mug protection works. They had a friend mug them with a lot of money on hand before they started listing stuff for sale/trading/gambling etc so anyone that tried to mug them for the next 2-3 hours gets $0. Someone could have $100 billion on hand but if they've got mug protection you'll get nothing.

You don't seem to have any idea what you're talking about. Motor cycle helmets don't protect you from mugging whatsoever, and viewing someone's money on hand isn't a useless special. If he had 3b on hand and you got nothing, he had mug protection.

I never said anything about new players. If mugging is your job, you might want to learn more about how it works and who and when to mug. Then you might be able to make more than 10m in a month.
