Cant seem to hit anything with my armalite at 100% exp and rifle mastery merits with highest mods, but my cane with no club merits and 60% exp is hitting more accurately...

Can you provide attack logs please?

dont mind me... not enough coffee
I'm having the same issue with my armalite compared to my sams. Maxed merits my arma with mods as well and none on slashing. Will post a few logs as I can too
Same issue here, as posted in the other thread:
Something's definitely feeling off here...

two points:
- an arma with an accuracy 89.74, realistically shouldn't have any trouble hitting someone with less than double the dex of my speed.
- Dual Hammers, a weapon with zilch accuracy can hit through my flash with barely any trouble??
that's my 500m speed v their 950m dex not being able to hit with one of the most accurate weapons in game.
their effective 100m speed v my 1b dex being able to hit regularly with an absolutely shit weapon in terms of accuracy.
Did you just remove accuracy from the equation all together or what?
Second & third attack log just for good measure:

barely any hits with the arma? and they can once again hit through my flash like it's a jelly pie
Im hitting much more reliable with my cane than my arma... but i noticed my secondary was same shit accuracy. Feels like all guns are worthless atm.
Do we have your attention now Aurel?
I know some things Ched isn’t willing to share but there is clearly something wrong that you’re having a very difficult time locating..perhaps at least the committee should be shown details so they may assist.
It's something for Ched. I can't help here anyhow. Futher changes in formula may result in more problems, perhaps worth to carefully check all aspects of the current one first.
My macana + maxed piercing, is hitting less than before as well
Yeah, My Arma is useless now. >.>
How does the mechanics work? I always imagined that if spd=dex you would have a 50% hit chance if the weapon had 50 accuracy, 100 accuracy would hit half the time if the target had 2x dex (numbers for easy explanation).
I imagine the calculation is inexplicably and unnecessarily complicated.
Yeah all you need is a base function and then modify where the 50/50 hit chance is. If you set 50 accuracy as the 50% hit chance but later realize that merits and weapon XP is too strong, all you do is change the 50/50 value - so you don't crash all the mechanics when you make a change. Or perhaps I'm just dumb, but that's how most people who works with PLC thinks.
An issue which was making weapons more accurate than they should have been was resolved. That fix may cause some situations to now feel unusual.
Is it that much of an issue wen it has worked this way for a good 4 years without anyone seeing it being a problem? Including during the design of missions, attacking 2.1, mods and so on?
I feel like all game elements related to attacking that have been introduced ever since attaching 2.0 should be properly re balanced accordingly as the committee has always provided feedback _with_ that bug / issue in place.
As of now high accuracy weapons are completely useless and all the effort that has been done to make guns favourable over melee has just been undone. We get attacking results that work according to the speed v dex graph, but completely ignore the accuracy values that should increase it.
Something is definitely still wrong, be it due to extremely bad balance or due to a bug that is still in place.
The fix has caused issues that are statistically very very unlikely.
My DBK and Arma have about the same accuracy, both 100% with only 1 merit point different between the two. There is a clear difference hitting with my DBK versus my arma. 1.5b speed vs ~725m dex. Chance to hit around 70%
Here is an attack on same player; one with DBK, one with Arma

There was a modifier added back in 2014 to give an extra boost to hit chance based on weapon accuracy. Unfortunately documentation of this addition was poor. Currently it is removed (which may explain the current confusion?).
The previous issue may have been caused by a bug with this system, rather than the system itself, so we'll be investigating over the next few days.
Added some logs using arma vs dbk on the same target, I think you may have removed weapon mod bonuses or something
I have used my prototype to attack someone with exactly as much dexterity as I have speed. Based on what we know this should result in hit percentages _way_ over 50%.
Details:
500m dex v 500m speed, 82.6 weapon accuracy

That's a total sample size of 88 and a hit percentage of 27.2%, which isn't massive, but should give at least an idea.
Something is quite clearly off.
