    I'd be happy to actually change the name of the item to a "Flail". That also fixes any potential confusion between "Mace" and "Pepper spray"?

The club weapon called mace is actually called a flail or morning star. A mace has no chain/cable and is solid and one-piece. A flail is a one handed weapon attached to a implement meant to swing around and strike. A morning star is very similar to a flail but the handle is designed for use with two hands. Based on the picture of the weapon, it would appropriately be called a Morning Star.
