That was a joke. A Gold AK47 is the most expensive weapon in the game. They cost 25b.
It is strong but it won't do anything about helping your faction (aside from possibly attract members that are you hoping you will fund all their endeavors, which isn't the type of member I'd suggest going for anyways).
In order to assist with specific advice we'd need to know some about how you're currently running your faction so as to be able to offer suggestions for improvement. However, some general advice would be to try to learn about efficient chaining methods and pass this knowledge along to your members, as chaining is one of the backbones for factions that want to grow quickly. Along good aspect to learn about are Organized Crimes, in particular it's worth getting an idea of what Natural Nerve Bar values are required for each type of crime. It's worth setting up a faction on TornStats and having all your members join so that you can monitor their NNB and battle stats and help make sure that they're not falling behind. You're more likely to attract good new members if you have things to offer, so focusing on chaining to build up respect (thereby allowing you to upgrade your faction with things like bonus gym gains) and trying to have a decently well-stocked armory are both ways to appeal to more motivated players.
Best advice is don't do it, be a member of another faction long enough to see how they work, and once you think you are ready you are not ready, factions are tough right from recruiting to controlling the riff-raff you recruited. Its a long bumpy road
