So firstly, is blackjack truly fair? I get a lot of big winning and losing streaks, it feels like its not random
Secondly, whats the best strategy to use? I was doing ok when i first started and then i started using a chart and I lost a lot of money.. is this just unlucky or is there a better way? So many people i talk to are constantly getting winning streaks and a lot of players on the leaderboards have billions in profit... how do they do it?
The game is fair and random. The edge is still with the house long-term, although playing ideally reduces the edge to almost nothing. It's the best house game to play in the casino. Of course, you'd need to play for a long time to minimize variance. Over a short period, anything is possible even if you're playing perfectly.
i believe there was an experiment on this before where college students would Write down results of a coin flip heads or tails
the catch was you could choose to actually flip a coin or write the results down ( you choose)
Turns out people really under estimate how often you can get streaks, the professor would be able to tell who actually flipped coins and who didn’t because the students who flipped had 6+ streaks more often and students who wrote didn’t have long streaks often.
ofc black jack has a lot more variables but you get the gist
Just look at the blackjack hof. It is possible to make money in the long run. But you need to know how to play, before this they shuffle card every ‘x’ ( i cant remember) hand. So it is possible for card counting but its more like a risk assement.
