Sort this out, the take action value has been lowered to something absurd.

Can we at least get an event when someone joins the game?

The Russian Roulette game you were in has timed out and opponent used 'Take action' option 2018/12/20 12:27:22 AM

You get a notification when take action has been used, would be useful to know someone is sat there, or increase the timer to 1m at least.

I'm not sure I understand the issue here. If you start an RR game, you have to wait for someone to join instead of just abandoning it. There's even a sound that plays when someone joins.

And events shouldn't ever be needed.

So you have to remain glued to that screen for the 15 mins or whatever it takes for someone to potentially join?

The issue is that the timer is too short, if you're on a slower connection then it could time out.

An event for someone joining would be good practice.

I disagree, there's already a very clear sound when someone joins. We don't need to spam up events for the 1% of people who are not paying attention I feel - if people aren't paying attention they're likely not even going to see the event anyway.

Hopefully the reduced time limits will actually encourage people to pay attention.

Can we remind you that not only was this wanted by precisely no-one, it actively hurts a lot of RR players. As well as the game also lagging sometimes to the point where it doesn’t show you someone has joined for a long time, this change wasn’t formally announced anywhere. So anyone who doesn’t read bugs and issues will end up f**ked occasionally as they will either assume they have three minutes still (and be slightly more relaxed and less attentive as they assume they have more time) or by the time the game decides to let us know someone has joined the ‘take action’ option has already been used.

I’ll ask again, please increase back to 3 minutes - there are no downsides to this and no one was complaining beforehand. This is now the second bug report since changing to 1 minute however where people have complained...

You are too stupid beyond words some times. You don't play your own game, yet you are too obtuse to listen to your active player base.

This change is a really bad one for RR. It's not spamming your events to add a notification that someone has sat at your game.

Another compromise would be to reduce the timeout on an rr game, as I certainly don't want to be glued to the PC for 15 minutes staring at that same screen waiting for someone to sit.

This is without taking into account lag / other factors that may affect it. As i clicked shoot in my game it told me that the other person had taken action.

I had a game not long ago that not only didn't make any sound when someone joined but also did not show their picture and name. It still said waiting for player... Luckily I heard the click of them pulling the trigger and played out the entire round with it never loading them into the game.

If you host RR often enough you would have dozens of games that do not make the sound effect when someone joins. It wasn't as bad before since you could tab back to it every couple minutes to make sure you didn't have an unexpected challenger. Now instead you just get constantly screwed hosting games.

lalalala just lost a game because the game lagged for about a minute, and then the animation took so long to let me shoot I timed out :)))

Merry Christmas Ched!
