If you're talking about respect-wise, the only way you'll get near is if several factions are DBd to shit. So I voted maybe. Competitive-wise not a chance, but I doubt that'll even be released this year.

Assuming factions ranked 20-30 gain around 1m respect this year, you’ll have to gain 3m just to put yourself in touching distance of the top 20. You will have to do two 10k chains p/m with each coming close to the respect record currently held by DA to gain that much. It’s doable with the right motivation - but good luck in finding members who want to chain for 2 weeks every month.
ive only been sector 7d once, but the only reason why im hanging out where i am is to see where good wall sluts are for my faction.
Yes, why not? If Trump nukes half the world, killing half of torn as well, and those that survive kill themselves, maybe yeah W.A.R can hit top 20 :D

our goal was never to win against you guys. our goal was merely to distract and divide your efforts. we knew we could not win without SA and that is what happened.
No the reason you are there is because your dog shit faction got thrown under the bus.
There were excellent wall sluts around you, you just refused to cooperate.
On topic: If all you do is farm you might gain 2-2.5m but you won't catch the big guys in respect, and definitely not in ability/war prowess.

youre right though. there was good wall sluts around me. however most my faction couldnt hit the wall sluts because of the massive stat difference (even when the sluts were naked.)
Current 20th is at 3.45m respect whilst your at 1.4m (if I round up). You're seriously going to amass 2m+ their gains this next year?!
