There are going to be a lot of people who I will have to regretfully turn down on this instance as there are just so many good potential candidates, those who do please do not be discouraged for the future, we will be continuing to build our team up regularly!
Hello everyone!
That time has come again for us to begin taking on new staff. We will be recruiting a limited number of volunteer helpers over the next couple of months, if you are turned down in this instance don't be disheartened for the future as there will be more opportunities at later dates.
Our usual application process has changed somewhat, in previous years you would be able to apply through the staff page in the city but this has now been removed, so keep reading if you want to see how to apply.
Anyone is welcome to apply, however please be aware that your application will likely be unsuccessful if you are less than a year old in game (sorry newbies, but game experience is a huge asset to this role), have less than 100 forum posts (forum activity is a big part of this so showing that you are active in the game forums is a huge advantage, but not the final decider) or are a scammer/have a known history of scamming (Trust is a huge part of this role – if I can’t trust you with my in-game currency then I won’t be trusting you with staff tools).
Those of you who also applied to the CM role previously are also encouraged to apply to this, a good number of you had expressed interest in becoming a helper and I may be approaching those of you who applied for this position for the possibility of becoming helpers however please bear in mind that the helper position is a volunteer position within Torn rather than a full-time role.
If you are interested in becoming a helper and wish to apply to the staff team then please mail your application to cm@torn.com including your in-game name and ID and give me some short answers to the following questions and any other information you feel is relevant for your application:
1. Why do you want to be a helper? 2. How extensive is your knowledge of Torn? 3. What do you see a staff member’s role being? 4. What are your feelings regarding the Torn community and the current staff team (if any)? 5. How much time do you see yourself being able to commit to this role? 6. Can you give an example of how you help players in Torn? 7. What is your favourite aspect about Torn? 8. What device do you primarily use when playing Torn? (Mobile/PC?) 9. If accepted onto the team what would your personal goal as a staff member be? Do you have aspirations to advance to moderator/officer positions or is helper just right for you?
These applications will be coming directly to myself, the closing date for applications will be midnight TCT on January 31st - I will be reviewing applications throughout January and February.
