I suggest there is an option that allows the creator of a thread to lock it and unlock it afterwards, since at the moment there are no ways to stop people from posting on them, even if the need arises. I feel like it cannot hurt the forums in any way, and the graveyard should not be the only way to silence a thread. If a thread is used for an event that is not daily, there is no way to keep the posts in check. If there is no order in the thread, the event is compromised before it even began.
