Had posted a similar issue the other day about losing nerve, today had 17 nerve clicked 9 nerve computer virus and got the page saying I don't have enough nerve for that crime until XXX time and was left with 8 nerve

You didn't lose the Nerve. It was used on the crime without showing you the result and the crimes, for some reason, are performing twice. In this case, you did one virus crime and it attempted to do it again but you did not have enough (17 - 9 = 8).
