When losing a wheel spin and going to be hospitalized by Leslie, you can exit out of the wheel then go do something like use all your HP by drawing blood, etc...then go back to the spin to actually get hospitalized. Hopefully this is a feature, not a bug. :p

It is indeed intended. You can leave before the wheel hospitalizes you and come back to it at any point to receive it.
