question about guns

so i was looking at the wiki and the item market a little bit and i came up with some questions.

1 the wiki lists stats for guns, how likely is it to get those stats when buying a gun from a store?
2 would it be better to buy guns off the item market because i can see the stats before?
3 if i were to buy a gun abroad would i have to smuggle it back in a suitcase? any other ways?

First off, battle stats are far more important then which weapon you wield.

Stats for weapons vary; however, there is no price differentiation based upon weapon stats. In other words, it does not matter that much to most people in Torn.

As a level 3, you have a long way to go before you can get a gun abroad - specifically level 15. Whether you buy a weapon off the market, from Al's, or in a foreign country, the stats won't matter as much as your battle stats.

A weapon counts as an item against how many items you can carry. Some people who really want the best weapon buy in bulk and sell all but the best one which they keep.
