Faction wars have a lot of guesting at the moment. People stacking in one faction and switching to another to help out in the active war and switching back to go stack again (or have some sleep.. :) ). I think this weakens the factions, as you don't fight as a team. So my suggestion is: find some ways to discourage this mechanic.
I can think of 2 ways:
1.make it so that players can switch factions once a week (or any other time period)
2. make it so that faction upgrades only apply to members who have been in a faction 2 days (or any other time period)

There were some quality suggestions in FD about this. I think we need to let this stay open for discussion and try to come up with a compromised mechanic acceptable to everyone.
First way also kinda ****s me up by not letting me use cans when I come to Cookies :p I guess same for folks in 2.0 going to JFA main and so on...
Maybe some restrictions during war-time only?

Restrictions based on time, there's a special place in my heart for those where there's only fire gore and violence.

Well guesting in general is a good thing, not sure why you'd be against it. also trying to get back into the faction or other smaller things can be a bad.

I'm against this but I won't downrate Lets see what everyone else thinks.

Well.

I wanna argue both sides of this.

Yes it would be nice for guests to need to wait. Like how you cant join in mid chain. Why can you wall jump mid wall?

But at the same time. It is a game mechanic that makes war much more interesting. Tides can turn in a blink. Like let's say a faction calls your faction weak. Then your faction starts winning the wall war. So the other factions rage kicks half of their members to make room for guests. To win.
Hypathetical ofc.

But my point is that it's such a game changer in wars it should stay. That being said a small penalty would be nice.

Basically this, just turns walls into chains, you cant join them after they started or give it a very small window, lets say it locks after an hour?

Allies can still maker outside hits but you don't get an endless supply of people to join the wall

I'll give my perspective as someone who has guested a good bit this past year or so.

I like guesting. It's a great chance to meet people in factions that I probably will never join/want me. It also helps with gaining war experience and when I was a faction lead, I didn't feel experienced enough by staying in one place and not making connections. It's a great way to grow a reputation.

That being said, is it good for the game? Yes and No

Yes in the fact that it gives players a nice way to use their stats for cash and it encourages multiple factions to work together. It also discourages "bullying" by stronger factions.

No because a faction that isn't as strong as another ends up making the war a money game where they hire a bunch of strong people to win and the other faction isn't willing to invest that much.

As far as opinions go with the recent war I won't comment because we can go back and forth all day and get nowhere ;)

I think having guesting slightly more discouraged would be good though. But it shouldn't be totally impossible.

So yeah I feel like Dr_Phoenix

Guesting is, and has been part of things for a long time. Not everyone is part of or even cares about insurgency vs TUN.

An awful lot of people do it to help friends in lesser factions and to help bring on new blood.

I totally agree guesting can and should be part off the game. I am not suggesting to disable it. I just think it can be over done. So my suggestion is to put in a small 'cost' (timewise) in order to prevent to fast and to many faction hopping.
