What is currently the most profitable item to buy and sell? Panda plushies are definitely more profitable than anything else I've seen.

China is the most profitable with Pandas yes. Camels are longer to get to but are more good for price in selling... so it's your choice on what you do.

Pandas are the best!
At the minute it is Panda's, however as the market price changes to react to people all flying to China to buy them it does change. The best thing is to find or make your own spreadsheet to work out the profit per minute before you fly
Sweetiest updates this thread daily with calcs on which items give best profit per minute.

Any run to S. Africa is the most profitable when you mug newbies doing xanax runs.
If you never plan on mugging anyone, then just follow the above advice.

That's what I send all my runners. I dont have xanax on there, because I think xanax running is only for risk takers.

If u are going with a lot of cash, e.g. xanax running and, or will get salary (very large one) paid before u arrive abroad then likelihood of being mugged should be considered, assuming u are not creme de la creme of HOF.
In my experience (I flower/plushie run btw muggers ;) ) the Cayman islands (banking) and UAE ($bn items for sale) are particularly hot mugging spots (based on 50 travels to both destinations).
Everyone's experience will be different travelling and things change over time so what could be the best option(s) for u now may change.
Another thing to consider is travel run (price updates abroad): http://travelrun.torncentral.com/index.php

If you're not mugging then hunting makes it SA still the most profitable
Okay, to ask what might be a stupid question, how do you profit from hunting?

Also, I notice that some of the travel times in Bug's table are longer than some of mine. I also see different times in Baldr's link to Sweetiest's info.
I know there's some variation in individual trips, but none of the destinations take me 5 hours, let alone 6! For me, South Africa is the longest, but it's only 4 hours 57 minutes. The UAE is 4 hours 30 minutes. The Caymans are 35 minutes.
Those times are one-way and for regular flights. Are Bug's for special airplanes?

Last thing, just gotta say that when you calculate those profits, you need to deduct the flight cost (divided by the number of items you get).

All of the tables bill be off for you Brenn because you're don't have an Airstrip with Pilot. No cost to fly, and 30% travel time reduction with Airstrip & Pilot.
Pilot is just $30k/daily.

Thanks for the info. It won't be for me alone. Most lower level players aren't going to have an airstrip with pilot. I'd still factor in the pilot cost, though for multiple flights a day, it'll be lower per flight and per item bought.
But again, even without the travel time reduction, my flight times are less than what Bug has in his table.

Most people rent a PI with an airstrip by the time they're level 15. It's probably one of the best early investments you could make.
Those are total minutes, flying there & returning.
Just fly to the UK, there are three items so they're rarely all sold out, they are close to the best profit, and you can fly there and back without losing any natural energy. Flying to China/UAE/SA is stupid unless you're trying to get merits or don't care about training.
You use your energy for hunting instead of mugging, at high levels you can get around 800k to 1mil
You should be able to afford the rent and upkeep of a private island with an airplane (and pilot) with flying. No other housing is really worth using, at lower battle stats the extra happy from a PI is invaluable in your training and the flight reduction with extra travel capacity is amazing.
The times in my table show return flights using a private airplane :)

But your return times are longer than mine, and you're supposed to have a reduced flight time.
(Yeah, yeah, I know all about renting a PI, but I couldn't afford the rent and now I finally have my vault, and I'd rather have that. I'll get to the PI eventually.)

How are you getting shorter return times?
