It seems detrimental to an economy to place a restriction on items you can place.

Well it doesn't place any more restrictions then the current system does at this moment Besides

That this system requires you to invest in it if you want to trade more

Just like flying in torn

After hitting level 15 you can go and import things overseas for a profit (players start with one market slot)

To increase this player can buy a pi with an airstrip or a stock and change their job to be in line with flying and they can get into a faction that further increases there gain in flying

With this new market system, Players can increase this with merits or points.

Not gonna lie, don't like the bazaar removal

How can bazaars be introduced in this system at all without bypassing it completely?

The reason the tax/fees would exist is that inflation in torn is a problem "this is from talking to old players who started when this game started".

I have no idea if the torns economy is inflating or not at this time if not there is no need and its also why the fee's/taxes would be controlled by the market economist.

Also, its true torns market current market system is not broken however I would like it revised into something better.

Some players have a lot of time and effort invested into bazaars, they are very easy to use for placing things up for sale quickly.

Would be great if there could be a cashier check system for sales made, so even while offline you can continue sales and not be buy mugged.
Crylix [2219788]
No that would just nerf mugging, which (according to older players) has already happened.

Many players buy mug on a daily basis as a good source of income, if you get buy mugged - sure you can blame the mugger - but ultimately it's your fault. Traders should be on mp or at least self-hosped (or if they want to take the risk, quickly store the money away once it's sold)

if this gets implemented i'm done with trading casually.

I really can't be burdened to be trading 24/7 to try and earn 4m a day with this system
unown [2166500]
This system does not change how you earn your cash by trading to my knowledge

I, however, would love to hear why in your opinion this system would require you to trade 24/7 for something it seems to me would not be an adequate payout.

weapon/armor stat sort is a great idea aswell as a favorite items list bazzars need to stay so traders dont own the markets with ease imo

The buy sell order system is just too convoluted and clunky and honestly sounds boring. The way the current market is is fun and exciting for buyers, sellers, and traders alike.

Market Tax: First of all, bazaars are great, you have your own store where you set your prices however you like, you open and close it at your convenience, it's wonderful. Second, item market already has fees.

Broker Fee: I'm neutral about this but it appears to be attached to the buy sell order system so no.

Market slots: Definitely not. Flowers/plushies are how a lot of us non-trader nublets make our money and in order to create sets you need like 11 and that doesn't even cover if you want to sell city finds or anything else. What are people like iribuya and ORAN gonna do, they probably have like a significant percentage of all the items in the game. Merits are already hard to come by and even if you get all I don't think it's enough to fill everything so adding another merit option is not a good idea at all.

The fact that you don't understand why a 10 item max limit kills trading is very sad.

I just woke up, so haven't actively listed anything in a while, and I have 15 items listed right now.  A heavy trader like Iribuya?  He has 80+ items right now.  There are *lots* of traders with way more than your 10 max.

So when you add those limitations, how many people are going to tie their slots up for expensive low volume items like collectibles?  How many are going to use them for low end, inexpensive items like most of the random melee weapons and secondary weapons.  How many people are going to use those for bandanas and pele charms?

Things donator packs, energy drinks, FHC's, those are popular enough that even with your major limitations in place, some people are going to buy them and sell them.  But if you have major limitations on how many items you can buy and sell, you won't waste those on inexpensive items or on very expensive items that rarely sell.
unown [2166500]
You misunderstand and now I see where you got this max idea there is no max amount that was only supposed to apply to merits since you can get a max upgrade amount of ten my bad it will be corrected to clarify

Players start out with one market slot This can be increased with points from the points shop (Please suggest a point amount in the comments they will be added below) Max infinite however the cost will scale just like Merritts resets. And you will only be able to create 1 buy and 1 sell order per item.

So players will also be able to increase their market slots with merit points Max 10

It's a cool idea but far too restrictive.

The current system would have to remain in place otherwise this would actively damage trading due to the excessive removal of player choice in the system.

For activity, yes the system would run 24/7, but it would not encourage PLAYER activity as they could just set an order and forget about it.

Also, sales tax? We're Criminals! We pay the item market directly for selling items and that's about it, not the Torn Government.
Prezze [2121612]
I currently have 48 items in my bazaar, at times I even have more items.

Putting restrictions on determing what you can sell with make markets collapse and other markets unpayable.

If i have limited slots it means i won't waste time on listing slow selling items through it since it will reduce my profit gains. So I would only stick to trading items that sell fast (fhc, cans, alcohol, candy and meds)
The-Wiz [1870366]
I R+ only for the adding of sorting mechanism for weapons. Its totally absurd when you visit a bazaar with THOUSANDS of individual weapons and it makes it basically impossible to find anything and lags my browser out.

Should just be one icon per weapon type with a drop down menu sorting the weapon stats.

I feel like you should slim down your suggestion to just QOL improvements like this one. better chance of being reviewed.
