I'm not sure if I've seen a guide like this elsewhere but I tried looking for one without finding much. Made this for my faction and decided to also share it here.

This thread serves to give you an idea of what prices to list for your bounties and you can also understand how much someone dislikes you.

When you place a bounty there's a few things to consider when it comes to price. The basic guide for cost is the level of the target. Most of the time it's about 100k per every 10 levels that person has. Under level 15 you can just use 10k per level but if they have low stats you might not need that much.

Generally bounties under 100k are going to take ages to get claimed if they're claimed at all. So if you're goal is to keep someone in hospital all the time or you just want a fast claim, you'll need to put down more money. When the price is high enough players will stalk that person's account to claim the bounties. Sometimes they'll even revive the target in order to claim the bounty. Upwards of 500k it's more likely to get claimed quickly but if you underprice for their stats and levels it may take a while for anyone to bother with it.

Most of the time a bounty is cheaper per hit than paying a hitter. This is mostly because we can scale the price based on the target's level and stats, where as in most cases a hitter charges a flat fee for each hit they make. Most hitters will charge about 1mil per hit. In some cases your bounty listing fees will make it cheaper to contact a hitter. However you should consider that you need to trust this person as it's relatively easy to get scammed.

Using bounties rather than a hitter also means that time zones and when a person is online don't matter. If you want to keep someone in hops basically 24/7 the bounty system is much better than trying to pay more than one hitter and keeping track of who's done how many hits, ect. Your costs could very easily multiple outside of what you expected to pay.

Most of the time a bounty going for 1mil is pretty unusual and it's extremely rare for people to list anything higher than 1 mil.

Bounties are VERY annoying when traveling because to an extent you can basically ignore pricing logic. Don't travel even with relatively small bounties as it's a lot more likely to get claimed by people who are overseas and looking to burn off some e or make a little extra money on their trip. This also means that if your target travels a lot you can put a smaller bounty than you normally would.

So basically;
-It's around 100k for every 10 levels a person has.
-Think about the targets stats, are they really shit or really good for their level?
-Think about why you're placing a bounty, how quickly you need it claimed and how much time you want them to stay in hosp for.

Something that can help with getting your bounties seen and claimed: put an extra dollar (or two) on the bounty. Setting a bounty for $100,001 will make it appear before all the $100,000 bounties, thereby increasing the chances that it will get seen.
