Highjacked flight - 1% chance to double the travel time, then hospitalized, but afterwards get a large cash settlement from the airline/insurance.
Flight extensions can already happen through the job special in the Detective Agency. Also spending time and effort travelling to other countries already has a few negatives, which involves wasting out on using energy and nerve, so it would be quite annoying to simply lose some of your items along the way for no reason.
Understood, but what if with that, you had the possibility of getting free items as well?
I'm not sure i can agree with that, the only way i see that traveling can be improved (unless another idea is shown to me) is that mini-games or essentially the casino is introduced during traveling, so one does not feel completely bored whilst on flight.
so to make flying less boring you want us to fly to the same location 2 times to get what we flew there for in the first place.... and add travel time to make it longer ;p

sorry just dont get how this is a solution to your problem not to mention if i lost a gold ak to a 5% rng or something like that i would prob quit and i love this game i could lose billions in RR or Poker and not blink a eye but at least that would be my own doing but a 5% rng to lose billions nope that would have me way to sour to play.
What about utilising the yacht in a private island and having cruise options where you can travel to more than one country and have a casino on the yacht and a gym (I mean the yacht is expensive enough)
:P add youtube to the laptop so people can watch youtube well they fly (cuz we are that addicted that we cant leave the webpage any more well we fly!)
this is worth exploring not 100% about the more than 1 country unless it has a slower travel time tho slower than regular flights
i payed a lot for my WLT block to fly 50% faster i would want that yacht to still be slower then wlt flying to multiple locations for balance sake
Of course and limit to only 2 destinations and maybe 5 extra items ( with enhanced perks added to sleightly increase ( maybe faction tree branch too))
