Uh yeah, this is just a faction prank, not a bug.

Went to faction page and egg appeared on the bottom right of the main faction window and if i clicked it i got sent to a black page with multi colored dots, i could go back and try again but couldn't collect the egg, when tried to reload the screen it was gone

I'm not really sure what to suggest.
Do you think it's possible you clicked that link next to it by mistake? Where does that take you to?
As you're on Mobile (and the app), it couldn't have been a script causing it, or a fake.

Had the same problem with faction page today,
made sure to click on egg. With ios app.
