While technically General Discussion, opening like that is not a great way to start Torn tbh. If you're looking for a faction, there's the Faction Recruitment forum where you can look into the various factions that have threads or simply post in the "Looking for Factions" megathread that you're looking to join one (Or *cough, cough* join mine *cough, cough).

As for cash, the best way to make it fast is to either get a job in a player-owned company and get as many job trains as possible to boost your work stats to join the best companies and get paid/use the job points to get EDVDs/cans (That depends on if you're in an Adult Novelty or Grocery Store though) to resell on the market or get to level 15 so you can fly, buy, and then resell goods.

That said, with enough time and effort/stats, you can also go around mugging people or going after bounties. And in the long run, if you get your stats up massively (Talking about hundreds of millions here), you can also advertise yourself as a wall-sitter/guest chainer for extremely good money. Doing crimes to get your nnb up to 60 is also a good way to make big bucks as PAs (Presidential Assassinations) pay out well, but getting to nnb 60 takes a good long while. These are long term aims so look to the above paragraph for achievable CASH in the short-mid term.

As for making friends, join a faction and/or company, talk in the forums, and/or risk npc/global chat. You're sure to find some friends amongst all those options no matter what.

Biggest word of advice/warning I can give you though? Don't beg.

new players that joins the casino job only gives the vibe of a multi only trying to make money for thier main. join education, boost your workstats up faster.

classy a begging thread, my advice would be learn how to play the game and do not beg or troll the forums. once that green leaf vanishes posts like this will get you enemies and bounties. gj hiding the begging with a friendly hello and legitimate question. check the tutorial forum if you want to learn how to make cash

Bitching about begging, complaining about it being in the wrong forum, yelling lol noob and inevitably a multitude of "clever" depictions of sodium chloride upon your offended retort.
