To provide some background, i had gathered about 450 job points before i had to unknowingly disappear from torn for about 3 months. Naturaly when i got back i was fired from my job and kicked from faction but i still had retained the job points. Upon joining a new company all my points went away. Why is this?

Were you also work in an AN before?

Job points retained as long as you move job to the similar company, i.e. from pub to pub, AN to AN.

If you joined the same company like your previous one, you'd see the job points.

Chances are, you joined a company different from your previous job. For example, if you join a cyber cafe, gain 20 job points, choose not to use them, and then join a sweet shop, you won't have the 20 job points you gained at the cyber cafe. However, if you were to at any point rejoin a cyber cafe (doesn't have to be the same one you worked at prior), you'd have those 20 job points.
