Guys,
whats up with trump, he is hitting hard on huawei, bans after bans.. wonder is that got to do with 5G implementation? There are other company like Xiaomi running business as usual and they are from china too but spared from the ban, but targeting on huawei alone seems a bit harsh and does not make sense.. anyone can shed some light?
Xiaomi does have an official site that sells products in the US, but they only sell Xiaomi made accessories. ... Xiaomi only offers a small selection of accessories for sale in the US through Mi.com. There are no plans to sell smartphones through any authorized distributors in the US.
folks this isn't about phones. Its the network hardware for 5G rollout. In Eastern Ontario, despite all that is going on EORN et al., are pushing ahead with Huawei.
I wouldn't be surprised if some nasty things come about in the near future...
5g is the end of freedom.
Huawei is taking the lead in the phone market, and the US don't like that. So they act like they have evidence that Huawei is spying though they fail to show any.
Anyway, probably they do, but there are dozens of companies spying on people worldwide from the USA as well so it's a kind of pot and kettle situation.
5g will lead to more automation, and ai.
Yep just one of the ways humanity will lose itself.
There are bonuses if done right but looking at history and present day, humanity will do it wrong.
A basic appliance like a fridge can already monitor what you have in stock can already place orders on your behalf without you having to do anything but consume.
How long before it will be given the authority to decide what you can eat?
All well meaning at the beginning. People may want to diet and what a lovely idea to tell the machine only so called healthy food. The machine has been programmed to know what healthy food is. Then comes the preferred brands the machine will choose for you. Companies pay the central server to put their goods on the preferred list.
A little further along what if a family are quite some distance from the shops and rely heavily on deliveries. The machine glitches or is hacked and slowly their vital food supply is gradually reduced. Over time they thin down and as everything is automated there is little they can do to get their own food.
With 5g though this shit is on f**king steroids.
All conversation can and will be pinpointed to location. You got a problem with the current government or company, they will know about it.
The future of humanity is in chains and they will embrace it with giddy smiles of consumerism.
I think with the current rate of consumerism we won't even make it that far before human society collapses, people believe we can live on the moon but we can't even preserve our natural resources over here. If we are lucky we make it until the end of the century but I won't even give us that time if we don't change the way we live.
But you have a point, it's all about control and owning our supply chain. Capitalism out of control.
