It is June 18, 2019. I bet a lot of money on the Yankees to win. While the game was going on I received a refund for my bet. The Yankees won but I didn't win money I only got the money I bet back. Is this normal? Does Torn rig their bookie system?

We don't rig our system, no.
Unfortunately the provider we currently get our betting information from is unreliable and will cancel bets all the time.

We are in the process of replacing them sometime soon with a better system. There's nothing we can do about this bet cancellation though, sorry.

All good I guess. Don’t mean to be a burden but if I put money on a game and it doesn’t look good I can’t withdraw my bet half way through. But you guys can

It's an automated system, we have no interaction with it.

If they cancel a bet, we cancel a bet.
If they pay it out, we pay it out.

Actually bookie 1.0 was different. 2 options, no odds listed, all the money was split amongst those that picked the right option. I remember Bl0ndie once won like $642m when she bet on Latvia to beat Russia or something in Ice Hockey, everyone else bet on Russia so she won the lot. Fun times. So this is kinda bookie 3.0 now.
