Twice now I've initiated an attack on targets from Baldr's list and someone else joined the attacked and finished the fight. Does this affect experience received? If so, is there any way to prevent others from joining my attacks? When the fight ended in both cases I received an "Incorrect user ID" message since I didn't finish the attack myself. If exp isn't affected it's not at all an issue, but if there's a reduction in exp I'd like to prevent this from happening if at all possible.
On the upside...I did get a free merit for the "Double Dragon" award due to someone joining and finishing the attack.
I’m not sure if it affects experience earned, but the best way to stop it from happening would to hit people not on the list since it’s a bunch of easy targets that a bunch of people use
You probably still get a very small amount of experience, but not nearly as much as if you won the fight yourself.
There isn't any way to avoid it. However, one thing that might help is to try to make the fight as fast as possible. If you attack, and click, click, click fast until it's done, maybe it takes 5 seconds. If you attack, click, then read the msgs and take a sip of soda, then click again, stop to check your phone for texts, etc and take 45 seconds to finish, that gives a lot more chance for someone else to join and finish the fight.
Not sure about the experience gained. Probably a fraction of what you should have received if you beat the target.
Choose less known targets, Triplicant also made a target list thread or you can do your own search. When you have unlocked Duke's mission, you can stick to the mission targets.

I had better luck using the second list in his thread, and being really quick once the fight started.
2-3 times my attacks got sniped on the way to level 15, the rest were all mine
