I put a bounty on someone a day or so ago for a mission. https://www.torn.com/profiles.php?XID=10821#/ A friend was going to take it for me, but the target is already in hospital for 3 hours (hospitalized by someone), but the bounty hasn't been taken. I thought bounties were claimed automatically if someone was hospitalized, so how is the bounty still there?

As far as I know, yes, at least ever since the new bounty system started ages ago (like 2017~?)
Only the highest bounty for the person will show on the newspaper list and only the highest one is claimed when you hosp them.
If you click on the bounty icon in someone's profile, you can see all the bounties placed specifically on them, but that doesn't affect which one is claimed.
Chiming in. If you click on the bounty icon, and see all bounties on then, you can choose which amount you wanna claim. Though obviously, people opt for the largest one.
