Some of you may have no doubt seen the cutest items thread in GD. The black unicorn caught my eye as I had never seen or heard of this item. So I went to the wiki and saw this page of collectibles. What puzzled me was the section of staff collectibles.

There's no description there about them so my question is; is some new collectible made and given to a new staff member when they become staff?

Staff Collectibles are given to staff members to thank them for given services, generally these are only long term serving Officers, with the exception of one (then) Moderator, as far as I'm aware.

They get 20 of the collectible they "chose" and are free to give them to friends / trade them with other staff for their staff collectibles, but are not allowed to sell them.

Thanks for the answer! Interesting idea, also interesting that they can’t be sold. Is that to protect the in game market or something?

They can be sold, staff however is not allowed to profit from it. The idea behind them is to give recognition to said staff member, not give them free 50b
