I read a post on the tutorials section : https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16094641&b=0&a=0

That stated that happy jumps were no longer effective at 400k/stat, however this didn't take into account the boost from working at a 10* AN or being in a faction with a 48 hour cooldown for 9 eDVDs and ecstasy basically giving you max happy (99999). I was wondering if anyone had any experience with how high a stat would have to be so that happy jumps are no longer effective even with max happy.

Thanks

400k, 800k if youre in a 10* AN and for the happiness book you shouldn't stack because theres no reason to

Yes you can.

10* AN for double edvd bonus. Max cd from faction.

9 edvd’s for 45k happy
max pi for 5025 happy.

Double that with ecstasy

Note that 2 10*AN happy jumps is superior to a 99k happy jump.
This is due to the fact that, well, 2 jumps means 2.3k energy which translate into more gains.
In short, if in 10* AN, never do 99k jumps. ( unless you want the merit )

Good to know, I work in a SS because no 10* AN would hire me(30k total workstats). Just did one 99k jump yesterday and the gains were awesome, but i'll stick to 50k happy ones in the future. The one good thing about Sweet Shop jumps is that the no booster CD spent will allow me to use Cans of FHC(if i can afford).

The maximum stat at which happy jumps can in theory still be better than simply training with the natural energy generated during the same stacking time period is 1.2m, which assumes that you're doing 99k happy jumps (the easiest method to achieve this being in a 10* AN with 48 hours booster cooldown from faction, or using the 10* SS perk with 300 job points). However, it's worth noting that the difference in gains is incredibly minimal from 1-1.2m, meaning that it's likely not worth the extra cost.

Where are you getting your values from?

The amount of time it takes to fully stack for a happy jump is very close to the amount of time you will need to wait for your booster cooldown to reset after a 99k jump. Therefore, if you're doing 54k happy jumps you'll still be waiting around the same amount of time, and therefore using approximately the same amount of energy, simply with a lower happiness level.

Now if you're talking about the ability to do multiple smaller jumps vs a single larger jump on financial factors, that could be a valid point (I haven't run the numbers for that), but your argument as it stands seems to rely on being able to use twice as much energy in the same time period, which isn't at all the case. You lose at most 300e or so, meaning you'd actually be comparing 1.15k energy to 1.45k energy, and in reality you have to also account for the time you're able to spend using natural regen while waiting for your booster cooldown to decrease (thereby increasing your unlocked gyms faster) as well as the fact that most people don't stack optimally, meaning that in general it will take someone 2 full days to stack for a happy jump no matter the level, so they might as well go for the better one.

I see why there might be a misunderstanding. The extra gains are minute and my statement is applied only to those in a 10*AN.
If you were in a sweet shop, well you don't even need to consider the financial aspect as no cost is needed. (unless FHCs or cans). Also, i'm not in a sweet shop so i didn't really base my calculations of it. To be honest, i don't even know what is the most optimal way to train in a SS as you need 17 days of JP to get 60k happy in comparison to the 30days for 99k so you can't even do 2 60k jumps in a month.

The math is below for anyone who is interested. :P
The following calculations are done based on 100k strength while training at the Knuckle Heads gym. 0% gym gains are included and base PI happiness of 5000 was taken.

Stat gain aspect
A 99999 happy jump would get you 41,535.3 strength according to Vladar's gym gains calculator.
Using your argument,I would also need to take in 2 days worth of natural energy as 2 happy jumps require 4 days to stack compared to 1 99k jump.
Two days generate 1440e, (but it's highly unlikely for casual players to use it all due to sleep, school, work and certain in game travel locations but for arguments sake, we'll take it) 1440e would give 8,210.1 stats. (Yes I kept in mind the fact that strength was 141,535.3 when training)

Total stat gain for 99k jump and 2 days of training: 41,535.3+8,210.1= 49,745.4

A 10* AN happy jump has a happiness of 60k {[5*(2500*2)+5000]*2}.
The first 10* AN jump would yield 26,362.2 stats.
The second would yield 27,369.5 stats.

Total stat gain for 2 10*AN happy jumps: 26,362.3+27,369.5= 53,731.7
Stat gain difference= 3,986.3

Financial aspect (city value used, points were 51,747.6)
A 99k jump needs 9 erotic dvds, 4 xanax and 25 points. This averages to be about $36,622,172.
2 60k jumps needs 10 erotic dvds, 8 xanax and 50 points. This averages to be about $44,816,456.

Cost difference: $8,194,284

TLDR, Korin is right. You're paying an extra 8.2m to get about 4k extra stats if you do a 2 10*AN jumps which does not seems worth it. But hey stats are stats. However, if you do choose to perform 99k jumps, you will have to lock yourself into 2 days of pure training or that 4k gap just gets larger and larger.

There's also a risk factor I didn't cover as ODing on the ecstasy for a 99k jump is twice as painful as ODing on a normal happy jump. At the same time, there's a slightly higher chance to OD on xanax and ecstasy when doing normal jumps as you do them more often.
