Only 180 days or so old but the one thing that sticks in my mind was having a networth of 968m and doing a trade for a faction member worth 906m with a guy I was certain was going to mug me.

140 days it took to scratch together 968m and within the space of 45 minutes I recieved what I was selling and arranged the sale.(I'm still green so I was buzzing)

The guy buying was dunmugmeh and I didn't really know him at all and considering the gap between us I figured it certain that I was getting mugged but that classy bastard shamed me. I took a slice, the seller got more than they asked for and the buyer got a discount win win. (And to think I almost had a stroke worrying over it)

It's not forum drama or a famous post but it is my first stand out memory of torn. Now be gentle when ripping me for being a rookie. ;)

Pretty sure I am not supposed to talk about staff stuff but she is gone now and it was fairly public so whatever.

One of my fondest memories of Torn was the old school IRC server with all kinds of rooms and radios and giveaways and just good people, conversation, and friends. Anyways, one night I was in the staff room talking with Heather (Clansy) and a few other staff and she is making a few tweeks to the IRC server. The night goes on and it is actually a really chill evening, not a lot of drama and most of the normal people are not even online. This goes on for a good long while and eventually we start getting mails ingame (pre chat era) about issues with IRC. Turns out unbenounced to all of us, Heather had accidentally banned everyone from IRC that was not online at that particular moment. She freaked out and felt bad, everyone else laughed, all and all it was quite memorable.

So yeah, there's that.

Not sure this really counts as an achievement. I'm getting this in under 5 years without using more Xanax (even without SSL gym), you're about 4.5 years old. If I had the SSL unlocked now it would be close to 4.03 years total age for me.
