Maybe they could work in a vacation option like has same effects as a property with increasing happy but instead of a permanent increase its a temporary happy cap increase. Like you pay a large sum of money to stay for a certain amount of days and when you get back your happy would be set to a higher amount then normal for a few days maybe 1 day happy for every 1 day vacation or a concept like that. Possible downside to add would be no work pay while on vacation.
