Does anyone know how the queue works with stocks? My position in the queue keeps increasing not decreasing...
Thanks in advance
Smaller amounts of stock posted for sale take priority. You are moving backwards because other people are adding shares to the market who are selling lesser amounts of stock than you.
What I would like to know is if selling, for example, 1 million stock of a single type but broken into (10) groups of 100,000 would have you as a higher priority than just posting one group of 1 million stock.
Edit: Replaced "groups" with "amount" for clarity
No. All your stocks for sale are counted together regardless of how they are split.
Exactly what I wanted to know, thanks!
Suppose I have a block of 101 shares that I split into a block with 1 share and a block with 100 shares.
If I put up my 1 share block for sale, then 3 days later put up my 100 share block for sale, does my 1 share block move down in the queue to my 100 share block, or does my 100 share block move up to my 1 share block?
I'm not entirely sure of the exact mechanics to be honest. I doubt that the larger block would be moved up though. My best guess would be that it would be positioned wherever a block of 101 shares should be.. Essentially moving your single share down. Perhaps someone with deeper knowledge could answer this one.
3 mechanics
1. Size of the block. The bigger the block the less priority it has.
2. Length the block has been up. The longer it's been up for sale the higher priority. This will in the long term balance out the block sizes from above.
3. The attitude of the NPC buyer towards that stock specifically. If it believes the stock is going to go up in the short term it has higher motivation to buy up stock in this stock, vs if it believes it's going to go down in the short term it has little inclination to buy any of this stock.
To be honest I would expect your 1 share block to be sold exactly at the 12hour mark regardless of any other variables because it is so small.
But you are working in such small numbers you wouldn't see any change.
Now if you were talking about 1 stock vs 100m stock, you would see your first stock drastically Drop in the que after the 12 hour mark of the second block being up, and the second block would show N/A as it is waiting for positioning
Someone from staff basically confirmed to me as well that so long as someone always has a smaller block than you, they will always jump in front in the queue.
Which completely renders the function of a queue utterly pointless imo.
If you put them up at the same time yes. But if you with the bigger block puts it up earlier, there are additional factors.
Plus, it also depends on how much bigger.
A couple shares or a small %, likely whoever is first up, but a large % then they will be first.
I agree. Ive been watching my posted stocks for 3 days stay between 226-228 in queue, through the day it will drop but no lower than 206, than go back up again. This is my first attempt at selling stocks for profit and its been a pain.
I have just over 10m up for sale right now and it's bouncing between 219 and 205.
Last time I did a large sale it went from 130 to 70 back to 140 then sold all of a sudden.
The que is buggered badly
I rarely buy stocks for investment so I don’t have experience in selling. From my inexperienced point of view, if I heard that large blocks take longer to sell, I’d split my block and put it up over time. Since several are not doing this, it makes me think that I’m missing something. Why keep the large block up if you know it isn’t progressing in the queue very quickly?
Invest in stocks is very legit. I get 5% profit from TCHS everytime lol. Legit! There are ways to work around que.
1. Only invest on 5 main stocks. That way when I see bunch of people dumping their shares and I'm about to be stuck in que, I can sell to players.
2. Before it reach peak price, usually there won't available shares in stock market. I usually split my shares into few blocks. Sell little by little. If by few hours, no one buys, then I buy myown shares. Sell, buy back, sell, buy back, ect until the last chunk. Last chunk I just leave in stock market to be naturally sold out. And I always check the timer and avoid "sudden available" shares. Every 15 minutes there is price movement. I also watch out for that. For this ofc I will need enough cash and self hosp myself. Yes I won't get maximum profit that way. But I hate being stuck in the system morethan losing portion of profit. And my money will be in form of checks where no one can mug it from me.
Ps: i play stocks for funsy in hosp
It's ok tcb is going back up again
Happy day. 750 of bust
