Given the demographic on here I think something else that should be said is that if you are in your teens or 20's then chances are if you catch it you will live, that's probably a given, but it doesn't give you the right to be a dick about it. If you are in that age group and get infected you might live but you are still a carrier and have the potential infect up to 2000 other people in the space of 5 days (and 59,000 in the space of 9 days) because of a domino effect and those people could be older family members, older neighbors, someones child with cancer, you don't know how far it could spread. Social distancing and isolation isn't to stop it anymore, we are way beyond that point, it is to stagger the infection rate so that every countries hospital services aren't overwhelmed all at once.
Also something else should be made clear, this isn't like a normal flu, you could have COVID right now, the incubation period can take up to 14 days before you show symptoms and in those 14 days you could be showing no symptoms but can still be passing it on to everyone you come into contact with so the advice is to just assume you have it anyway and act as you would if you knew for sure you were contagious.
Sorry for being so morbid but that's where we are right now because we half arsed stopping it in the first few months and we aren't in a position anymore where we can just pretend that this will go away in a month if we just ignore it or act like we don't care.
