This is a short, simple guide/tips i am putting out for new players.

Its not the most in depth 1 out here, but its the basics to get new players up and running.

I am open to suggestions for adding things you feel like i have missed, just leave a comment and if i think its useful i will add it.

Sell 3 losses via trade chat, asking price 250-300k each or 1 xanax for 3 hits then train the remaining energy.

Buy a xanax (if paid in cash) from the item market (around 835k). This provides you with 250 energy to which you can train
175 energy leaving 75 energy, enough for 3 more attacks which you sell for 3 losses again.

Repeating this process will provide you with a lot more energy for training than not selling losses and only training natural
Energy.

This is a great method for increasing your battle stats faster than other players your age, thus giving you an advantage over them.

If you enjoy the game and think you are likely to play long term (Torn is a long term game) you really need to consider getting a donator pack.
You can buy them in game (around 24m each) or buy them with real cash ($4.85 per month).
This gives you 75 points a month (points sell for around 46k each) and also increases your energy bar from 100 to 150.

The Higher your happy, the more you gain in the gym!

It is important to increase your happy as much as possible to give you another edge over the players your age.
Property is the biggest thing for this. You need to move into the best possible housing as early as possible.

I suggest finding another player to marry so you can split the daily costs of this.
To begin with you don't need a private island (they are very expensive) so you should probably be aiming for a fully upgraded mansion
(1k happy) until you get to level 15.

Once you are level 15 you unlock the ability to travel abroad, this is when you need to be aiming for a private island.
They have Airstrips (faster travel times) meaning you can make money faster.
Renting 1 of these (make sure it has an airstrip) is where finding a partner to split the cost comes in handy.

You should also be buying a Large suitcase at this point (around 10.3m), allowing you to carry an additional 4 items back from abroad.
This investment will pay itself back within a few days if you are actively flying.

Flying is the easiest way for new players to make money, you fly away, purchase as many flowers and/or plushies as possible then sell them back in Torn.
You can pick up Heather for example from the UK for $1,000 each then sell them back in Torn for around $46,500 each. Hence why its
important to get a large suitcase (an extra 4 items per trip soon adds up).

If this a route you plan on taking to make money (i recommend this) then i would suggest trying to get a job in 1 of the following company types.
7* Flower Shop (allows you to carry an additional 5 flowers per trip)

7* Toy Shop (allows you to carry an additional 5 plushies per trip)

Nah on big suitcase. Over-rated. Medium and large difference is only 1 carry but the price gap is big.
First thing one must do is rent a pi with airstrip, join a faction that gives at least 9 carry items (or max is 10) perk, and work in toys/flowers/lingerie or any other companies that give extra carry. That is if they want to make travelling as their main source of income. Get the big extra carry bonus first before thinking about big suitcase.
Also before flying check the current stock abroad using travelhub or that other travel website thingy to check if there are the items you want to buy or not. For plushies it is very tricky to predict. For flowers, if it is under 3k and the journey to get there takes over 1.5 hours just assume they will be gone when you got there. Same with xanax.
Also use yourown timer when you fly. Buy the stuffs you want the second you land to minimize the risk of getting mugged and hospitalized
