So, this is sort of in response to the recent arse kissing towards Ched and the devs.
Devs have spent the last few months mainly on bug fixing duty, now this is probably because they can't go into their fake office Ched claims they have but it's also probably because it's another example of their incompetence.
Once again a batch of bug fixes and a simple addition to the game has totally broken shit, once again "We're conducting some maintenance which may cause logouts. Please simply login again. Thank you." is Ched's display of sheer contempt towards the players.
Please Ched, just admit you and the devs f**ked up, say you're going to fix it and take some f**king responsibility.
Also, please just hire a project manager.

Well, at least it's something to do during this lockdown. Torn could be a lot more, but it could be a lot less, too. Maybe something cool will come soon.
This thread isn't about them adding something, it's about Ched taking responsibility for shit being f**ked up rather than thanking us for tolerating it, it shows his contempt towards players.
Explain the reason server maintenance is required and explain how long it might last. You were hired as a community manager bogie, your job is to work with the community, when shit breaks or things aren't working optimally it's good practice to communicate and inform rather than hiding behind a wall.
That's the issue with Torn, such incompetence, no one knows what to tell the players so you hide everything, just f**king communicate.

I take full responsibility for this upgrade that'll bring us up to date and improve service going forward.
And yes, a tiny message, that tells us there's maintenance, not what the maintenance is or how long it'll last and it simply links us to the announcement forums with no further information. It's a shit excuse for informing the players what's going on.
So make a announcement thread, of that, explain that it's going to impact players and how long it might last rather than have it just randomly log people out.
There's a f**king confirmed bug report of this responded to by an officer, this shows the lack of internal communication as well as the lack of communication with players.
