Leveling and experience

Hello I have a few questions.

If I understand it correctly there are lots of ways to gain experience attacking/ doing crimes and training.

But are there also ways to lose experience?

Like failing attack? Do you lose more experience then wining an attack?

Do you also lose experience if you get attacked/mugged or hospitalized? Or do you only lose xp if you fail your own attack?

you do not lose any level experience

you can lose crime experience from failing crimes tho

only if you go to jail. Getting hospital time does not make you lose exp
