Leveling Up

Hello, to anyone reading this. I know that when you first started playing TORN CITY you encountered George, you did missions and you were leveling up pretty fast, then you reached Level 3 you found it harder to level up, you probably did more of george's missions but you were not progressing as fast as you used to. So what I'm going to do now is just to share all the information I know about leveling up.
Okay so basically, different levels between level 1- 15 have different rewards or benefits for reaching that level, so I'm going to tell you each and every benefit of reaching each level from level 1 - 15
NOTE - life bar maximum is increased passively with each level unlocked

• Level 1- No benefit attached to it
• Level 2 - Unlock bookies in the casino
• Unlock the dump
• Level 3 - Able to work in a company
• Unlock the lottery in the casino
• Level 4 - Unlock Blackjack in the casino
• Level 5 - Unlock the poker game in the casino
• Unlock the auction house
• Ability to do missions beyond George
• Level 6 - Unlock Russian Roulette in the casino
• Level 7 - Unlock spin the wheel
• Level 8 - No benefits attached
• Level 9 -No benefits attached
• Level 10 - Unlock the ability to start a company
• Unlock the loan shark
• submit comic to the newspapers
• Level 11- No benefit attached
• Level 12 - No benefits attached
• Level 13- Unlock access to global chat
• Level 14- No benefits attached
• Level 15- Unlock travel agency

There are different ways which one can level up, you can level up by attacking people who are in a higher level than you and leaving them(mugging and hospitalizing bring less Exp than leaving the person on the street). You can also gym to gain Exp to level up and unlock new gyms, also you can commit crimes to gain Exp to level up



As you can see leveling up on torn is a great experience but do not rush to level up so fast, because if you make leveling up your number 1 priority you will begin to lose focus on gyming, but in a situation whereby this happens, you can level hold.

LEVEL HOLDING

When you unlock a new level you will be given two options, either to level up or to level hold. So level holding just simply means not leveling up when you have the opportunity to do so. When level holding a little [upgrade] button will be beside your level so that anytime you feel like leveling up you just hit the [upgrade button]. when your level holding you will still be able to go up levels but you won't be able to know how many levels you're holding. You can also level hold to deceive your enemies into underestimating you e.g your level displayed on your profile is Lvl 15 but your holding about 3 levels which means that you are in level 18, say you make enemies with a level 17 he/she may think that I can beat this person since he is in level 15 and I'm in level 17, so he goes ahead to attack you and he loses. And in case you get into jail buying you out is cheaper i.e it is cheaper to buy a level 13 out of jail than a Level 20 so you can level hold to keep that cheap price tag on you when you get into jail

Also why level holding is important in gyming, if the stats you have do not fit the level you're on, a simple level hold can help you out with that, a way of checking this is by going to the hall of fame, and checking if your battle stats # is higher or lower than your level #. If your battle stats digit# is higher than your level digit# it means that your stats are too low for your level meaning that you have to level hold until your battle stat digit# is less than your level digit# your for your level but if it is the other way around that is good.


For all of you who are under level 20 and are interested in leveling up, I'm going to post a list of targets, NOTE *all stats may not be accurate as users may have come back online and gymed their stats e.g tobsy1*

So, just to make sure I'm battle stats vs level, if my level rank is 230,000 and my battles stats rank is 34,000 then I don't need to hold my level, right? (These ranks aren't real)
