Display case and passive items

If I add things like my large suitcase, or my screwdriver, etc. to the display case. Will I still get the effects of those items or no?

Edit: Bonus question: Do I have to equip the balaclava to get its effects or no? And if no, if I DO equip it, will I no longer get its effects?

It has to be in your items, it won’t work in your display.

Sorry no I didn’t see! You don’t need to wear the balaclava to have the effects, it simply needs to be in your items at the very least (not your display). You CAN wear it if you’d like :).
