We all spend a lot of time growing our accounts from nothing. But what happens to our stuff when we no longer log In/ walk the face of this earth? It collects dust endlessly forever.
While in torn we build intense friendships, have spouses, serve in/ own factions. Factions have safeguards in place of the Leader Goes in active for a prolonged period of time the Co-leader inherits it to make sure it doesn’t die. Which brings me to my proposition!
I propose Torn introduce a final will feature. In the settings above the api key tab add a slot for final beneficiary. That you can opt into for a fee of 10% of your final recorded asset (On available if married!!) under this option a drop down box with labeled years have 2-10 years selectable. With a information box that states something to the effect
“Upon opting into the Final Will your spouse will be the beneficiary (only available/active while married) You will also be required to select an execution date in days from your final login starting at 730 days and ending at 7300 days. If the execution date is reached your Final networth will be recorded in your profile permanently, If a faction owner it will be given to your co-leader, the rests of your assets will be liquidated at fair market value to the system, and the value of which will be transferred to your beneficiary for the cost of 10% of your final networth”
We grow and build a lot with our spouses and they shouldn’t have to lose assets if we quit. This option isn’t available for just everyone to use and abuse. It’s literally aimed at long term game spouses that should deserve the keys to the estate after all those years.
So quick recap
Requirements:
married
opt In
long election time(unless verified Fallen)
Pros:
makes people chose there game spouse more careful
Spouse shared asset protection
have to opt in
keeps rare items in circulation
your spouse gets an inheritance + property they currently live in
Cons:
10% final networth fee
only for the married
items are returned to system
They only keep the property they currently live in
long execution time
permanently lose access to the account
if you think it’s a good idea R+ of not leave a comment on how we could make the idea better! Open to all ideas/criticism
