It looks like someone joined your game and you did not play? You need to refresh the page sometimes to check if someone has joined, page does not auto-refresh if you have lost connection.

I don't understand what you mean by "wouldn't let me refresh", you can simply use browser's functionality to refresh the page (click F5 on Windows OS).
