Why is it that demand can be high for a stock, but it's trendung downwards for stock price? Is there a forum post that even remotely explains how the Torn Economy ACTUALLY works? Maybe I'm stupid (good chance), but it just doesn't make sense to me.

You can short stocks on Torn. Similar to real life, pay someone to borrow x amount of a stock for y amount of time. Sell it. Then buy it back when your due to give them the stocks back. It's …
Some points I can add that may help:
- It is trending down which means its cheaper than usual. Everyone loves a bargain
- If the average price over a certain period is normally higher then one may invest in that stock whilst it is dropping below the average with the hopes it may return to that average or above

Simple.. the cheaper the stock the more people buying - higher demand
