If I own a palace with max vault but live primarily in the PI I rented, is it possible to store/withdraw cash from palace vault?

Yes. You have to move temporarily into the Palace to access the vault, deposit/withdrawal, and move back. There's a risk that you'll forget and still be in the Palace when happiness resets, in which case you'll have to visit Switzerland to recover your happiness.

Edit to add: Moving out of a property that you own or rent will require you to fire all staff.

I have read somewhere in the forums you are also limited of firing and re-hiring staff twice a day. Can someone confirm this? Nothing on the wiki about that and can't find the thread anymore.

That's no longer the case. They've changed it so that you can hire and fire as many times as you want. You'll have to pay the upkeep amount every time you re-hire them though.

Even if, it would get expensive. Each time you have to rehire your staff you have to repay the cost.


Remember buying and selling points to protect your money works well also.

Cash is different than points. You can't use points to gamble and trade.

Yes I understand what he is talking about. But there are reasons why ppl still store cash in vault. Which was what I explained.

If your spouse is living in the PI however, you wouldn't have to fire the staff or pay any additional upkeep. I think if you move into palace for just a few mins you wouldn't have to pay the upkeep for the palace either :)

Don't forget that moving back and forth lowers your happiness to the max happiness of the palace if you were to switch back and forth to deposit funds, so unless you plan for it, it can impact training, or you'll have to spend money on regaining any lost happiness when you move back to the PI.

As long as you're back in the island with staff rehired before the next fifteen minute mark, you won't drop in happiness.
