I've heard Elimination was made to replace a world war event or something. Can someone describe the old event, or reply with a link to information on it, the differences in it and elim, and/or why it needed to be removed?

In the world war competition you could pick your team and the teams were countries plus a pirate team. The problem with this was some countries had barely any people so couldn't compete and other teams had a whole hof faction join. So it was very unbalanced.
