When it says “likelyhood of finding things in the city”, where do you find things? Scrolling thru the map or just in the dump?

You click the city map, and you can either look by hand or have a script like doctorn that highlights the items for you (and shows you at the top). It is random. However, you can enhance your chances by placing merits into awareness, and joining a job such as the zoo.
PSY2680: Attention and Awareness < you can do the psych courses for edu, and once you complete this course in particular, you will also get a 10% increase to awareness finds (but still not guarantee!)
Keep in mind, even with the above, there is still a very strong possibility you won’t find anything. In a few weeks, there will be awareness week as well.
Also, there is a book if you get your hands on it, called Finders Keepers. It helps to increase your chances for finding items in the city for a month as well. This can be found by either being a sub and getting it from the monthly sub gifts, found in the city, or by using your earned mission credits from the mission store too.
