I was looking at starting a faction in the future but when I went to look into it I couldn't even figure out where to go in the game itself to do it? It's a stupid issue I know but seriously...

I'm not sure, but I think you might need to be factionless to see it. It cost $8,230,000 last week. Yeah, I think you can go to https://www.torn.com/factions.php when you are factionless and see the option.

Recruiting decent faction members can be hard. I used to bribe prospects with Donator Packs. I ended up handing over leadership and joined a larger faction. So much easier.

Had someone come through who did the same and was around the same age as you too. they're back after a few days having been beaten the crap of. I don't want to put you off doing your thing but you really want to take Kelsies advice and read up as much as you can before putting the money down for it.

I did have standards and a caveat or two. For instance, worth had to be proved. If one were to do the bare minimum (logging in once a day, keep OCs waiting for no more than 18 hours, etc.) they would receive a DP in no more than 60 days. On the flip side, effort, selflessness, and a cooperative and willing attitude was greatly appreciated. The most reliable of faction members could get three packs in two months. Perhaps other benefits as well. These days I bless random, deserving faction mates.
