Dark Mode is now available; it can be toggled from the top-right menu panel.
What started off as a simple idea ended up being quite a massive undertaking to achieve effectively.
- Over 180 pages adjusted based on more than 90 layouts / mockups
- Added more than 5,000 properties with CSS variables to *.css files.
- Replaced hundreds of images with dark background PNG, SVG and sprites.
- All text colors, background colors, gradients, background images (SVG/PNG) and borders have been rebuilt to use CSS Custom properties.
Dark Mode is by no means perfect, yet, but this beta release is a significant step. All core areas should be fully converted to a high level of quality, but things will continue to improve each week rapidly until it's as good as the traditional Light mode.
