I've gotten a few properties from the stock BB. I didn't realize I needed to move into them to upgrade them. If I move to do upgrades, will by PI be changed when I move back? (mainly will i have to pay for upgrades to it that I've already made?

Thanks for any info, I've not done much with properties.

I was just looking for info on this, myself. I know you have to fire all your staff at your PI to move out, and I know from my old palace that the upgrades stay if you move out. BUT it just doesn't make sense to me that you have to MOVE IN to upgrade a property. IRL flippers do not move in. There's no reason we can't 'hire' the work done at the rental while we continue to live in our posh digs. I don't understand why they would make this one of the game mechanics. :/

As far as I can tell from the wiki, your Pi will remain the same. The only downside of moving into a property is that you have to fire your staff and hire them again when you come back in. You'll end up paying their salary twice. But the upgrades you paid for won't ''disappear''.

Newsletter!!!! Custom Property Abilities

Players can now customize their properties without having to move into them every time they wish to do so. By clicking the Customize icon beneath a property, you may add modifications or staff to any property you own, provided it remains in your possession. This feature is not available for any properties you have leased out or offered for lease.

A change in the next patch list also saw the property panel altered. The number of properties shown on this page has been increased from 9 to 12.
