Stock change

Hello.

As a, relatively, new user, I've coorporated with other new users to get the most out of our resources. For example by stock sharing.

The day before you closed for stock trading, I borrowed someone my education stocks. I'd like them back. That's not possible with this "out of nowhere" change.

Could you perhaps open up for trading stocks for a week as a grace period to let people hand back stocks that were borrowed?

I see this as a 100% Torn Staff problem. I don't blame the one I gave the stocks in a trade or myself. We used the system in a way that I imagine most of Torn was doing and now Ched/Torn Staff has turned that other person into a criminal. Like shoving a baby into the driver's seat of a rolling car. The baby is without any fault in what's about to happen, but it couldn't do anything to avoid it.

Please save baby. And baby's friend. And a lot of other people whose stock blocks might've gotten... stuck. :)

Tell your friend to sell it on the market and send you the cash, then you can buy it again

in a quick NOT-Optimal solution, would be that good one indeed... What could be wrong apart that stock prices changes every minute?

we were aware of the announcement of "soon" inability of the stock, but we were not aware of this changes would happen. Dev side, people always aware of stock exchange, sharing stocks was a thing for Banking in factions, or education perks sharing.

So if there was the decency to notify that by a period of time the stock would be offline, there should be a grace period too, and not just shove the "sell it and send the cash back and buy it again". That is a pilato answer, washing the hands.
